Wakulla Springs

Edward Ball Wakulla springs is one of the worlds largest fresh water springs located in the south of Tallahassee in north eastern  Florida. It consist of a spring basin which flows then southwards feeding the 15km long Wakulla river which runs though old-growth cypress trees. Its an amazing place to visit, they have a small sandy beach swimming area and a platform for diving or jumping. They also offer boat rides which i must say was very wonderful, it takes about an hour along the river where you can see so many exotic birds, turtles, snakes, sea cows and alligators. The water is crystal clear and one can see more than 5meters deep. Wakulla also offers a park for picnics, it has an old fashioned lodge from the 1930's and one can also take a nature trail in natural reserved area with its different plant spices. I would high recommend to visit Wakulla springs and take a boat ride i really found it amazingly beautiful.
