After hours of surfing in the internet reading hotel recommendations i ended up staying at The Pod Hotel at 230 East 51 St. Its a modern hotel with a art flavour interior for 130 dollar a night which is one of the cheapest rates in central New York. For the price you should not expect more than a cosy room in the size of a double bed already by unpacking the your luggage can turn out to be a challenge.The rooms therefore are clean and for a few hours of rest i would recommend it. The highlight of the hotel is for sure the amazing view over New York skyline on the roof top. Many bars and restaurants are located nearby, from Irish pub to Mexican and Italian food you can find pretty much everything. Many places also offer live music and comedy shows in the evenings.
